About Us

The Leather Works is a business based on handcrafting beautiful items out of leather and sheepskin. Our origin story dates to 1982 when founders, Mark and Mary Rogers, started cutting out hides on the floor of their tipi and making leather items to sell at Art Fairs. Our product line and skills have developed and branched out over the 40 years since that time, but our dedication to making useful products that are well-built and beautiful has not wavered. Our talented artisans are always building top quality leather goods at our leather shop in downtown Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. If you ever come to town, stop by our shop and you’ll find us there working on our original leather goods!
